As a Health Counselor, I am your personal advocate for living an energized and passionate life. I work with my clients to help them create happy, healthy lives in a way that is flexible.  By working together, we can discover food and lifestyle choices that best support you.  I offer group and individual programs.

Group Programs

I offer programs for schools, corporations, women's groups.  Together, we develop workshops or cooking classes suited to the specific needs of your group, or choose from popular lectures or classes, such as those listed below:

Lectures

Healthier Foods, Healthier Families

In this lecture, we explore some of the myths surrounding our food supply and discuss alternative choices to make; discover what it means to eat local, organic and seasonal and why these are important to our health; and learn how to choose healthier food to improve health and well-being.

Optimizing Energy and Staying Healthy

We address the nutrients adults and growing children need and the best sources for those nutrients.  We discuss the best choices of Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats.

Sugar Blues Workshop

If you've ever had cravings for sweets, this is the workshop for you. This class is designed to permanently change your relationship to sugar. You will learn about the causes of sugar cravings and receive practical tools for dealing with them.

Cooking Classes

Cooking and Eating Whole Grains

Whole grains should be an important part of our diet.  They are a great source of complex carbohydrates, protein and fiber.  You will learn about the importance of whole grains for your well-being and discover new and interesting ways to cook with whole grains.

Cooking with and for Kids

Including children in meal planning and cooking expands their culinary horizons and exposes them to a variety of foods.  We discuss the importance of including children in meal planning and cooking, and discover some easy meals or healthy snacks to prepare with children.

World Flavors

We can design a cooking class around food from a particular country or region in the world.  You will learn discover the cuisine's dietary benefits and learn how to make some classic recipes.

You will learn about the various world cuisines—Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern and Southwestern—and discuss their dietary benefits.  Discover some classic recipes from the region.

Individual Programs

Food changes everything. As your daily diet changes, your body changes and your happiness improves. Imagine what your life would be like if you had clear thinking, energy and excitement every day. Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.

During our session, I will teach you ways to bring your body back into balance through nutrition. Your consultation also includes, two follow-up sessions; book, CDs and other support materials.

I work with individual clients to improve eating habits, and find ways to bring your body into balance. Drawing on in-depth knowledge of many dietary theories and ancient ways of eating, I tailor each program to your individual needs, because everyone's body is unique. My goal is to educate you about healthy eating, and how healthy eating can improve your life. The aim is to make long-lasting changes that will improve your health and well-being.

Our work together can include:

  • sharing menus
  • cooking classes
  • Whole Foods or other supermarket tours
  • books, DVDs/CDs

Our first session lasts 1 1/2 hours and is followed up by two half-hour sessions.
