Health Counseling is a unique, exciting innovation in health and nutrition. As a Health Counselor, I have studied all the major dietary theories and will help you discover what approach works best for you at this point in your life.
While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.
No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.
Getting Started
Our health and well-being is influenced by many things around us: the food we eat, the environment we live in, the emotions we feel. As such, we need to look at how all these things affect us. Do the foods you eat nourish you physically and emotionally? Does stress at your job cause you to indulge in sweets? Do some of the foods you eat prevent you from sleeping well?
I have studied many different dietary theories and have learned that no one way of eating works for everyone. Every single person has their own nutritional needs. In addition, everyone’s lifestyle is different and needs to be taken into account when recommending a healthful diet.
